The Varley Red Top 40 Battery (7065-0007 VRT40). The favoured choice of racing drivers for over 60 years! Light weight, maintenance free and with exceptionally high discharge capability. Recommended for racing cars up to 6 Litre using alternator, reserve capacity for endurance and rallying; used when cars are built below the weight limit for series so the battery can be doubled up as ballast.

The Varley Red Top 40 battery is the best quality motorsport battery available with 19 plates – there are other similar looking but inferior racing batteries on the market with only 13 plates.

Varley Red Top batteries can be fitted upright or on their side. They are designed to withstand extreme shock and vibration, will not leak if damaged and are the perfect racing battery for all Rally and Race applications.

Currently used by: 4×4, ALMS, Britsports, DTM, Group C, GT Endurance, GT’s, LMS, NASCAR, WTCC. BTCC, WRC.
